MUSCULOSKELETAL ASSESSMENT
A Musculoskeletal Assessment is a detailed evaluation of the body’s muscles, joints, and movement patterns to identify areas of weakness, imbalance, pain, or dysfunction. This assessment is designed to help individuals recover from injury, improve physical performance, prevent future issues, and support safe return to activity or work.
- During the assessment, the Kinesiologist evaluates:
- Posture and body alignment
- Joint range of motion and flexibility
- Muscle strength and endurance
- Functional movement patterns
- Areas of pain, discomfort, or restriction
- Using a combination of physical testing, observation, and client history, the Kinesiologist identifies the root causes of physical limitations or discomfort. Based on the findings, a personalized exercise and rehabilitation program is developed to improve strength, mobility, and overall function.
- This assessment is beneficial for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, sports injuries, or those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. It can also be used as part of a preventive care plan or to enhance performance in work or athletic settings.
- At our clinic, our Kinesiologists work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to your recovery and long-term health.
